Returns, Refunds and Cancellations

This policy applies to purchases from Al-Qalam Perfume at alqalamperfume.com. Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies available under applicable law.

Domestic returns

For orders delivered within India, request a return within 7 days of delivery by emailing info@alqalamperfume.com with your order number and the reason for your request. For change-of-mind returns, products must be unused, unopened, sealed where applicable, and in their original packaging. Opened or used fragrances are not eligible for change-of-mind returns. Personal preferences about scent, strength or longevity do not by themselves establish a product defect.

Damaged, leaking, defective, wrong or missing items

Inspect your order on arrival and report any issue as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours, and within the 7-day request window. Please provide photos of the product, packaging and shipping label where available. An unboxing video can help us investigate but is not the only acceptable evidence. Opening a product to discover a defect does not automatically disqualify a genuine claim. Statutory rights are not restricted by these reporting periods.

After investigating, we will arrange an appropriate refund or, with your agreement, a replacement for a verified issue. Where the issue is attributable to us, we will cover necessary return shipping and refund applicable delivery charges for the affected purchase.

Return process and costs

Contact us before sending a return. We will provide the return address and shipping instructions after reviewing your request. Do not send products to an address without our confirmation. For approved change-of-mind returns, the customer pays return shipping; original delivery charges are not refunded unless required by law. Any proposed deduction will be explained before the return proceeds. Pack the product securely and retain proof of shipment.

Cancellations

For domestic orders, cancellation requests are accepted until fulfillment. Contact us promptly by email or phone so we can check the order status. Once the order is fulfilled, cancellation is not available; eligible claims are handled under this policy. Approved cancellations of prepaid orders will be refunded to the original payment method wherever possible.

Refund method and timing

Once a refund is approved and any required return has been received and checked, we will initiate it within 3–5 business days. Your bank or payment provider may take a further 5–10 business days to credit the amount. Prepaid refunds go to the original payment method wherever supported. If this is not possible, we will agree an alternative verified bank or UPI method with you. Approved refunds for paid COD orders are made by verified bank transfer or UPI. Store credit is provided only with your agreement. No payment refund is due for an unpaid COD order.

Delayed or undelivered orders

If your order has not arrived within the estimated delivery period, contact us so we can investigate with the carrier. Confirmed lost or undeliverable shipments will be addressed through an appropriate replacement or refund, subject to the circumstances and applicable law. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed deadlines.

International orders

Our international return profile does not accept voluntary returns or cancellations. This does not exclude remedies for damaged, defective, incorrect, missing or undelivered goods, or rights required by applicable law. Contact us promptly about any issue so we can investigate and agree an appropriate remedy. Customs duties and taxes collected by authorities are subject to those authorities' refund rules.

Fair use and legal rights

We may investigate suspected fraudulent claims or repeated COD misuse and restrict future COD availability where appropriate. We will explain a rejected claim. This policy is governed by the laws of India, without excluding any consumer rights or access to competent courts or consumer authorities available under applicable law.
